Because of the city’s financial crisis in the 1970’s a need for prompt professional ambulance response in the community arose and TNVAC was organized. The doors of the TNVAC opened for the first time in May of 1979.
Thirty years have passed and the TNVAC has responded to over 25,000 ambulance calls. We have also provided blood pressure screenings, CPR and First Aid training, and have held numerous blood drives.
The men and women who have dedicated their time without compensation have helped to keep the “MAGIC” alive for 30 years. Our volunteers have chosen the wonderful world of emergency medicine to be part of their lives and the community will be forever indebted to them.
The Throggs Neck Volunteer Ambulance Corps is a non profit 501(c)3 organization, we are made up of volunteers from all over the New York City area. All donations to TNVAC are tax deductible
